CARE Housing’s Provincetowne, one of Colorado’s newest green-built, affordable multifamily communities, recently celebrated its grand opening in Fort Collins, Colo. The property consists of 64 two-bedroom and 21 three-bedroom townhouse and apartment-style homes.
Provincetowne will be completely smoke-free and features a community center with a computer lab and children’s play area, an outdoor playground and community garden for residents. Designed with many sustainable attributes by the local architectural firm of John Dengler and Associates, Provincetowne will exemplify CARE’s commitment to the health of its residents and the environment.
“CARE Housing has embraced a policy of health and sustainability that will benefit our residents, our properties and the community we all share,” said Mark Holmes, executive director, CARE Housing. “CARE Housing at Provincetowne reflects this principle well. When Provincetowne is fully leased, we expect to have over 500 children living at CARE Housing properties. Their future depends on largely on having a home that is not only clean and safe but also healthy.”
The construction of Provincetowne was managed by Fort Collins-based general contractor and construction management company Drahota Construction. “It’s been a pleasure working with CARE Housing and the entire team to deliver this great asset to the community,” said Terry Drahota, president & CEO, Drahota.
