The new building will be used for fire services, deployment of an explosives ordnances disposal group and as a base gym. Zwick of Salt Lake City and PGA&W Architects of Murray have teamed for the $7.2-million project, which will be two stories totaling 37,300 sq ft.
Designers are aiming for a LEED-Gold certification. LEED priorities are brownfield redevelopment, water efficiency for both building use and landscaping, and energy efficiency. The project will be complete in May 2011.
