Troy North of Gramoll Construction, Salt Lake City, was recently recognized as the Superintendent of the Year at AGC of Utah’s Annual Awards Banquet. The event honors the Utah construction industry’s best.
North’s recent work on the Donna Garff Marriott Honors Residential Scholars Community Building at the University of Utah led to the achievement. The award was based on an individual or company that best exemplified the AGC theme of “skill, integrity and responsibility.”
Commenting on Troy’s leadership specific to the award criteria, Barb Remsburg, director of Housing & Residential Education at the University of Utah, said, “His (Troy North’s) outstanding leadership, management approach and service through the entirety of the project greatly exceeded my expectations….. I have not experienced that level of understanding and ownership with other superintendents before.”
