The City of Shelby plans to build the $11.6-million Port of Northern Montana multimodal hub center, an inland port facility capable of shipping large cargo and containerized freight via railway. The project will upgrade various components of the town's municipal infrastructure. The project calls for flood control, landscaping and water line work, with installation of 13,000 linear ft of water main, 12,000 linear ft of sewer main, 3,000 linear ft of culverts, 35,000 cu yd of sub-ballast and 11,000 linear ft of ballast, ties and rail. The City of Bozeman will build a $21-million community recreation and aquatics center. The project also includes a multipurpose gymnasium and an indoor tennis court, plus an indoor playground and several multipurpose rooms, one with a kitchen.
